HAEMORRHOID LIGATORS

Suction and traction band ligation

Elastic band ligation of haemorrhoids is a para-surgical technique that can represent a viable alternative to the different surgical interventions for the treatment of haemorrhoidal pathology. Sapi Med manufactures LEM haemorrhoidal ligators dedicated to both the traction and suction ligation techniques. All Sapi Med ligators are recognisable by their classic gun structure, characterised by a large 10 mm cylinder for the containment of the downward sloping lump. Both versions are available with a stepped cone to prevent the elastic ring from slipping during the “loading” phase or with a cone with smooth walls and a special ring-loading.

SUCTION BAND LIGATION

The ligator requires a low-pressure surgical aspirator attached to the base of the handle. By simply pressing his/her thumb on the hole on the suction barrel, the surgeon can “operate” the ligator and draw back into the cylinder the haemorrhoidal lump on which the elastic band will be placed.

TRACTION BAND LIGATION

This device, unique in its kind among disposable ligators, has a structure very similar to the previous one. In this case, however, the distal portion of the instrument, immediately before the loading cylinder, has a wide window on the upper face in which a gripper is introduced to pull the lump to be ligated.

LEM SELF SUCTION

The device is based on the suction ligator concept but does not require an external surgical aspirator. The suction barrel is equipped with a plunger that, once activated, sucks the lump and enables the surgeon to subsequently press the trigger to position the elastic band. The advantage of the SELF SUCTION ligator is that it allows suction band ligations to be carried out in complete autonomy.

LEM4RINGS.

A suction ligator that, thanks to 4 pre-loaded rings, allows elastic ligations to be performed faster without the need to manually load the elastic bands. It is equipped with a toothed ring used to drop the first ring at the base of the nodule.
